Guava contains approximately 77.9% water, 0.9% protein, 0.3% lipids, 15% carbohydrates, and a mixture of organic acids and dietary minerals. Its carbohydrate composition includes natural sugars such as fructose (58.9%), glucose (35.7%), and sucrose (5.3%), while the primary organic acids are citric acid and malic acid.

Rich in Vitamin C (50–60 mg/100g)—notably higher than in oranges—guava provides an excellent antioxidant profile that supports immune function, cellular protection, and collagen synthesis. Guava also contains essential micronutrients including Vitamin B1, B2 and PP, contributing to metabolic activity and overall nutritional benefits
