In 2004, the Vica Lime family introduced the seedless lime to Long An province — a region with ideal climate and soil conditions for its growth. The journey began with introducing the product to domestic supermarkets, followed by the first carefully packed export shipment to Dubai (UAE). This milestone marked the beginning of Vietnam’s seedless lime entering the global market.
From a relatively new product, seedless lime quickly earned recognition for its consistent quality, juiciness, and naturally refreshing flavor. The cultivation area has continuously expanded and now covers more than 10,000 hectares across the former Long An Province (now Tây Ninh Province) and neighboring provinces. Throughout this development, farmers and producers have adhered to international production standards such as VietGAP and GlobalGAP, ensuring safety, sustainability, and traceability.
Today, Vietnamese seedless lime is exported to major markets including China, the Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Beyond economic value, this product showcases the capability and potential of Vietnamese agriculture in the global supply chain.
